Sajad Lone Slams Assembly’s “Silence” On 1987 Poll “Rigging” Resolution

0

Peoples Conference president and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone on Thursday slammed the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Secretariat over silence on his resolution seeking a probe into the rigging of the 1987 Assembly elections.

In a post on X, Lone questioned the silence on the resolution. “The Assembly cannot act like a post office that sends convenient letters but hides the inconvenient ones. It cannot behave like a pro‑government courier agency. It is the custodian of the rights of all MLAs and of the trust reposed in us by the people of Jammu & Kashmir,” he stated.

Citing Rule 179 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business, Lone pointed out that the Assembly Secretariat is legally bound to intimate members whether their resolutions have been admitted, disallowed, or admitted as amended by the Speaker. “The word used in the Rule is ‘shall,’ which makes it mandatory. Denial of information is a breach of the Rules,” he added.

The legislator further said that he has written to the Assembly Secretariat, demanding clarity on the status of his resolution concerning the 1987 elections. (KNO)

Jammu NIA Court Issues NBW Against LeT Commander Linked To Pahalgam, Other Major Terror Acts

0

A special NIA court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Saifullah, who has been linked to several major terror attacks, including the April 2025 Pahalgam massacre, officials said on Thursday.

Saifullah is a resident of Changa Manga village in Pakistan’s Kasur. He is also known in the terror ranks by the aliases of Sajid Jatt, Ali Bhai, Habibullah Malik, Langda, Noomi, Numan, Usman Habib and Shani.

He is a key figure in the terror outfit’s operations and has remained active for over two decades.

The NBW comes after NIA busted a “deep-rooted” LeT module headed by Pakistani terrorist Abdullah, alias Abu Hureira, who was arrested with another Pakistani accomplice, Usman alias Khubaib, and three local operatives early this year.

Quoting an order issued by the special NIA court on September 8, the official said the case arose after J&K Police intercepted a LeT operative in the Pandach area of Srinagar in March, leading to the successful arrest of the entire group, particularly Abdullah, who had been on the run for 16 years, and successfully established bases outside the Union Territory.

Seeking the NBW against the LeT commander for his role in the terrorist module, the NIA told the court that Saifullah, the designated terrorist listed under the Fourth Schedule of the UAPA, has been operating from Pakistan and providing weapons, funds and directions to terrorists in the Kashmir Valley.

The agency also informed the court that Telegraph IDs linked to Saifullah were recovered from one of the arrested Pakistani terrorists, revealing that he had provided directions for attacks on security forces, civilians and government establishments.

After hearing the NIA and examining the application and accompanying material, the court issued the NBW against the LeT commander. “Keeping in view the fact that the accused person is at large and the investigating agency has not been able to procure his attendance in the ordinary manner….as such a general warrant of arrest (non-bailable) is issued against Saifullah and is forwarded to SSP, Kulgam, as the last known address of the accused is village Yamrach (in South Kashmir district) for execution of the warrant as per procedure prescribed under law. The warrant has been sent for execution to the concerned authority through NIA, the official said, quoting the order.

According to NIA, Saifullah also acted as a terrorist commander of LeT in 2005 to 2007 in Kulgam district and later exfiltrated to Pakistan. (Agencies)

India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem Expanding, Opening New Opportunities For Investment & Growth: PM

0

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday pitched India as a trusted destination for global chip manufacturing and said the government is taking all measures to ensure the industry’s success through enabling policies and frameworks.

Speaking at the inauguration of the SEMICON India 2026, the PM said that the semiconductor ecosystem is expanding rapidly, opening new opportunities for innovation, investment and growth.

The world needs new and trusted locations for chip manufacturing, and India is preparing itself for this, he said.

India is taking all measures to become a preferred destination for semiconductor manufacturing, he further said.

So far, 12 chip-making projects have been approved, and the next phase will see the numbers increase further, the PM noted.

India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 expanded outlay to USD 13.5 billion from USD 8 billion in the first phase, he said, adding, “Be it policies, regulatory framework…whatever is needed for you (manufacturers) to succeed, government is taking all steps and efforts to ensure that.”

The Indian economy is expanding rapidly, and so is the world’s confidence in India, he said, citing Q1 GDP growth and Japanese rating agency JCRA’s India rating upgrade.

India is seeking to build a complete semiconductor ecosystem, expanding beyond chip design and assembly to fabrication, advanced packaging, equipment, materials, research and talent as it looks to strengthen electronics manufacturing and reduce dependence on global supply chains.

India is betting that the global push to diversify semiconductor supply chains away from concentrated manufacturing hubs can help position the country as a major chipmaking and electronics manufacturing hub.

Backed by billions of dollars in incentives, New Delhi is courting global manufacturers and leveraging its engineering talent, vast consumer market and strategic position as it seeks to build a full-stack industry spanning chip design, fabrication, packaging and testing.

On Thursday, Applied Materials announced USD 5 billion in investments under Vision 2035 to integrate India’s semiconductor ecosystem into the global value chain. (Agencies)

Kashmir’s Gulmarg, Gurez Witness Season’s First Snowfall

0

The season’s first snowfall draped the upper reaches of Gulmarg and Gurez in white on Thursday, as rain lashed the valley’s plains, officials said. Some areas in the higher reaches of the Kashmir valley received the season’s first snowfall, officials said.

They said the upper reaches of the famous ski resort of Gulmarg, in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, including the Gondola Phase 2 and Apharwat area, received snowfall during the night.

The snow covered the higher reaches in a thin white layer, adding to the scenic beauty of the famous tourist destination, officials said. They said Tulail Valley and Kabuli Gali, in the frontier Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, also received snowfall.

They also reported light snowfall in a few other areas in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said the plains in the valley, including the summer capital here, were lashed by overnight rain.

The Meteorological Department has forecast fairly widespread light rain or thunderstorms over J-K on Thursday.

The department said the weather is likely to stay mainly dry over the next few days from Friday.

What to Know About Player Protection Rules

I want to walk you through exactly how Slotoro Casino protects your experience as soon as you register https://slotoros.ca/legal-and-affiliates/. Player protection is not a simple tick we tick; it is a structure built into our licensing obligations, our internal policies, and the way we train every team member. When I talk about protection, I mean three layers: regulatory compliance that maintains our platform accountable, technical tools that give you direct control over your play, and transparent processes that let you verify everything we claim. I have witnessed how quickly confusion can occur when terms are buried in fine print, so I will present the rules plainly. This page is here because you deserve to know what backs every spin and every transaction.

Deposit Restrictions and Pause Periods

Deposit caps are the simplest protection tool we offer, and I suggest them to all players no matter your experience level. You can configure a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on the amount you are allowed to transfer into your Slotoro Casino account. Once you attain that cap, our payment gateway will decline any further deposit attempts until the period renews. This is a hard block, not a soft warning. I have observed players thank our support team for this feature after a particularly frustrating day, because it took away the temptation to chase losses with money they had not expected to spend. Alongside deposit limits, we provide cooling-off periods. A cooling-off is a short break, typically ranging from 24 hours to six weeks, during which you may not log in, deposit, or play. Your balance remains safe, and you can still get in touch with support to request a withdrawal. Cooling-off is perfect when you identify early signs of unhealthy play and want to refresh without closing your account permanently.

Our Regulatory Framework and Why It Counts

Slotoro Casino runs under a licence provided by a respected international gaming authority. I cannot emphasize how much this single fact shapes everything we do. A licence means we submit to regular audits of our financial reserves, our game fairness, and our handling of player funds. It also means we must divide operational accounts from player balances, so your money is never used for day-to-day business expenses. When I examine our compliance reports, I see proof that our random number generator passes statistical randomness tests and that our payout percentages match with published figures. The licence also gives you a clear path for dispute resolution. If you ever believe a concern was not dealt with fairly by our support team, you can escalate it to an independent adjudicator specified in our terms. That external oversight holds us accountable in a way that unlicensed platforms are unable to match. For Canadian players, this regulatory backbone is the primary and most important protection layer.

Self-Ban and Permanent Account Closure

When a temporary break is not enough, self-exclusion becomes the appropriate tool. I want to explain exactly how this operates at Slotoro Casino so there is no uncertainty. You can apply for self-exclusion directly from your account settings or by contacting our player protection team. The shortest term we give is six months, and you can prolong it up to five years or indefinitely. Once triggered, the following actions happen right away and cannot be reversed until the exclusion period expires:

  1. Your account is frozen, and all login attempts are denied.
  2. Any leftover funds is paid back to your registered withdrawal method within five business days.
  3. Your email address and phone number are erased from all marketing lists.
  4. We tag your identity details in our system to block you from setting up a new account during the exclusion term.

I need to stress that self-exclusion is a major decision. We cannot cancel it early under any conditions, and our support agents are instructed not to entertain requests to bypass the block. This policy conforms to the responsible gambling standards demanded by our licence. If you choose permanent account closure, the process is similar but final. We hold only the data we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records for anti-money laundering purposes. Everything else is anonymised or deleted according to our retention schedule.

Affiliate Conformance and Responsible Marketing

Our affiliate associates play a substantial role in how Slotoro Casino attracts new players, and I hold them to the same protection standards I enforce internally. Every affiliate must agree to a code of conduct that forbids targeting minors, marketing gambling as a solution to financial problems, or making unsubstantiated claims about winning odds. I routinely audit affiliate websites and social media channels to verify for compliance. If an affiliate employs misleading language, fails to display responsible gambling messaging, or promotes in spaces prone to attract underage audiences, we terminate the partnership immediately and retain any unpaid commissions. I also require affiliates to incorporate clear terms and conditions links and to prevent any implication that gambling is risk-free. This is not only good practice; it is a requirement of our licence. When you tap a link from an affiliate site and end up on Slotoro Casino, I wish you to experience that the message you observed was honest and that the protections we pledge are already apparent before you even register.

Handling of Personal Data and The Way We Manage Your Data

Player protection means nothing if your personal data is not managed with the same diligence as your funds. I manage our privacy practices personally, and I can confirm that Slotoro Casino adheres to Canadian data protection expectations and the demands of our licensing jurisdiction. We obtain only the information required to provide our service: identity details for verification, transaction data for financial auditing, and technical logs for security monitoring. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. The limited sharing we do is strictly functional, such as transmitting encrypted payment instructions to our PCI-compliant processor or providing age-verification data to a certified checking service. Every data transfer is protected by TLS encryption, and our databases use AES-256 encryption at rest. You have the option to request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time. Our privacy team responds to such requests within the timeframe mandated by regulation, typically 30 days. If you ever believe a breach, we have a documented incident response plan that includes alerting affected users and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay.

Fair Gaming and RNG Accreditation

I want to address a question I receive often: how can you be sure the games are not rigged? The answer depends on independent testing. Every game on Slotoro Casino runs on a random number generator (RNG) that has been approved by an accredited testing laboratory. These labs examine the source code, run millions of simulated rounds, and confirm that the outcomes are statistically indistinguishable from true randomness. The certification report includes the theoretical return-to-player (RTP) percentage for each game, which we show in the game information panel. I review these certificates annually to ensure they remain current. Beyond RNG integrity, our platform undergoes regular penetration testing by external security firms. They seek to exploit vulnerabilities in our game logic, payment flows, and account systems. Any discovery, even a low-severity one, is resolved before the next audit cycle. This combination of mathematical fairness testing and cybersecurity assessment guarantees the games you play are both random and resilient against manipulation.

Account Verification and Profile Protection

Prior to withdrawing any winnings, we will require you to confirm your identity. I understand this step can feel intrusive, but it accomplishes two critical purposes. First, it prevents anyone else from entering your account and taking out your funds. Second, it guarantees we are not serving to minors or individuals who have self-excluded. The documents we typically request include a government-issued photo ID, a latest utility invoice or bank statement showing your address, and occasionally proof of ownership for the payment method you used. I want to be clear: we do not store raw copies of these documents on publicly accessible servers. They are encrypted at rest and managed by a compliance department that observes strict data handling protocols. Once validated, your account achieves full access, and subsequent withdrawals become more seamless because our system recognises your confirmed profile. This initial inconvenience is a foundation of player protection.

Responsible Gambling Tools Available to Activate

I think the most effective protection is the sort you can adjust yourself, in real time, without having to defend your choices to a support agent. That is why we developed a set of responsible gambling controls directly into your account dashboard. You can define limits before a session starts or tighten them during a break. The system implements these limits automatically, with no manual override loopholes. Here are the core tools available to every Canadian player:

  • Session time reminders that appear at intervals you select, aiding you track how long you have been playing.
  • Loss limits that cap the amount you can lose over a defined period, stopping chase behaviour.
  • Wager limits that limit the total sum you can stake daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Reality check notifications that present your net spend and time elapsed, needing an active confirmation to continue.

I urge you to establish at least one limit the day you create your account. Even if you never hit it, the existence of that boundary alters how you perceive risk. You can strengthen any limit instantly. If you choose to loosen or remove a limit, a mandatory cooling-off delay applies before the change takes effect. That delay is a calculated design choice, not a bug. It blocks impulsive decisions made in the heat of a session from overruling the safeguards you set with a clear mind.

How to Contact Our Player Protection Team

I have described many tools and policies, but the most important resource is the team of real people behind them. Our player protection specialists are accessible seven days a week through live chat and email. They are prepared to handle sensitive conversations without judgment, whether you need help setting a limit, want to understand a verification request, or need to talk through a self-exclusion decision. I personally examine escalation cases to ensure no concern falls through the cracks. When you contact us, you will not get a scripted bot; you will get a human who knows Canadian player expectations and the regulatory framework we operate within. I also welcome feedback on how we can improve our protection measures. If you have an idea for a new control or a suggestion about our processes, please share it. Player protection is not a static policy document I wrote once and filed away. It progresses as technology changes and as we learn from the experiences of the community we serve. Your voice directly shapes that evolution.
