Speaker J&K LA, Abdul Rahim Rather today chaired a meeting with media representatives ahead of the Autumn Session, beginning September 21, to discuss suggestions and facilitate smooth coverage of House proceedings.
The Speaker acknowledged the important role of print, electronic and other media organisations in strengthening democratic institutions and connecting the legislature with the people.
He said the media serves as a vital bridge between the public and the Government, helping disseminate information about government schemes, programmes and welfare initiatives.
