Ministry of petroleum and natural gas ensured regular supply of LPG gas cylinders for domestic consumers

A regular supply of #LPG cylinders has been ensured for domestic consumers, and at present, the domestic LPG supply is completely normal. No reports of gas shortages (dry-outs) have been recorded at any distributor. The status of online bookings has also reached nearly 99%.

Additionally, to prevent diversion, an OTP-based LPG delivery system has been implemented. In this process, the OTP is sent only to the consumer’s registered mobile number. Therefore, if the consumer does not share this code with anyone else, it remains secure and cannot be accessed by any other individual

Furthermore, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), keeping the current situation in mind, have set minimum stock thresholds for each region, ranging between 85% and 90%. Any bypass of DAC (Distribution Approval Clearance) above this level requires approval only from state head or territory-level officers-Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
