Shivsena protest , demands to return statehood with reservation for local youths
Jammu : The Shivsena Jammu and Kashmir unit has demanded restoration of statehood with special status which should ensure reservation in jobs and educational institutions for the local youth of J&K.
Under the leadership of party state president Manish Sahni, the leaders of the state unit demonstrated vigorously at Sidco Chowk in Badi Brahmana on the above demands. State Chief Manish Sahni said in his address that a long gap of 28 months has passed since the statehood was snatched from Jammu and Kashmir.
In 2019, the Union Home Minister, Hon’ble Amit Shah had repeatedly promised to return the statehood to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in public forums and on the floor of the House. But the waiting period for democracy process and statehood is getting longer. Due to which the discontent among the public has on peak. Sahni said that the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Honorable , continuously promising to provide employment to the youth.
But at the ground level the unemployment rate is increasing day by day , due to which the youth of the state is moving towards despair.
Sahni said that the Home Minister is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and has urged him to return full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir along with reservation in jobs and educational institutions for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Udhampur prabhari Ashwani Prabhakar, President Kamghar’ Wing Raj Singh, Sumit Abrol, Pawan Singh, Sanjeev Sudan, Balvir Kumar Gorav, Rohit Kumar, Rajindra Kumar, Makhan Lal , Neelam Devi, Abi, Rohit Sharma and dozens Shivsainiks were present.
