Female Bottlegger Arrested, 6 Litres of Desi Liquor Seized and 85 Litres of Lahan Destroyed by Udhampur Police at Ramnagar

Police team of PS Ramnagar received reliable information about illegal desi liquor manufacturing at Rasli Thakrai area in the jurisdiction of PS Ramnagar.

Acting swiftly on the input a police team from PS Ramnagar led by its SHO conducted a raid at the location. During the raid 06 litres of illicit desi liquor were recovered and 85 litres of lahan (raw material used for liquor brewing) were destroyed on the spot.

During the raid Pooja Devi W/O Ravi Kumar R/O Rasli Thakrai was arrested on the spot, while another accused namely Radha Devi W/O Ram Paul managed to flee. Efforts are underway to apprehend the absconding accused.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 96/2025 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Ramnagar and further investigation is underway.
