#UMEED, JKRLM launches skill up gradation Training for SHGs across Doda district
DODA, MAY 19: UMEED, JKRLM is imparting phase wise skill up-gradation Training to its SHG Members with the support of Skill Development Department and in collaboration with the Industrial Training Institutes of the District.
The aim is to upgrade the skill set of the SHG members and augment their livelihood initiatives. To provide exposure visits and encourage members to scale up existing livelihood activities remain other objectives of the initiative.
In this connection, the JKRLM today launched skill up-gradation Training of SHGs at Doda, Bhaderwah and Bhalessa.
The inauguration event was organized at ITI Doda, in the presence of DDC Vice Chairperson- Doda, Sangeeta Rani Bhagat. Principal ITI, District Programme Manager Doda (UMEED) and Block Programme Managers (UMEED) also attended the event. As many as 60 volunteer SHG members have been identified in the first phase, to undergo training in courses of Sewing Technology (40 Members) and Dress Making (20 members).
