Jammu Police, South Zone Accelerates War on Drugs, Repeat Offender Put Behind Bars Under PIT NDPS by Police Station Channi Himmat

Jammu: Acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Jammu Police, South Zone booked the wanted notorious drug peddler from the jurisdiction of Police Station Channi Himmat under PIT-NDPS Act and lodged him in District Jail Udhampur.

The arrest was made by a team of Police Station Channi Himmat, headed by the SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Inspector Shariq Bhat under the close supervision of SDPO City East Jammu & SP City South Jammu. The notorious drug peddler, namely Rajan Singh Rahul Jamwal S/O Ramesh Singh Jamwal R/O Channi Rama, Tehsil Bahu, District Jammu, has been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.

The booked drug smuggler has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur. It is pertinent to mention here that multiple FIR’s are already.
