Husband-Wife Duo Nabbed with Heroin by Police Station Gangyal: Jammu Police, South Zone Tighten Grip on Drug Traffickers

In a significant success against the drug menace, Police Station Gangyal has apprehended a husband-wife duo and seized a substantial quantity of heroin-like substance. The arrests were made during routine checking led by SHO Inspector Satvir Singh under the supervision of SDPO City South and SP City South Jammu.
The police team intercepted the suspects at Purmandal Morh while they were traveling on a Scooty bearing registration number JK02CJ-7841 from the Baribrahmana side towards Kunjwani. During a routine check, around 15-16 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.
The accused have been identified as Jaspal Singh alias Deep Nagra, S/o Daler Singh, and his wife Kajal Rajput, both residents of Old Satwari, Jammu. A case under FIR No. 39/2025 has been registered under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is in progress to trace the supply chain and any potential links to drug networks.
