Health Department Kotranka organises Mega Health Camp at Village Dhevan

RAJOURI, MAY 25: Continuing its endeavour to provide specialised healthcare services to people in far flung areas, a mega health camp was organised by Health Department Kotranka at Village Dhevan Panchayat Shahpur.

The event was organised on the directions of District Development commissioner Rajouri and Director Health Services Jammu and under the supervision of Chief Medical officer, Rajouri.

More than 325 patients availed free health check up facility, including Dental Checkup, eye checkup, ENT checkup, Lab services including sputum examination were also provided to the public.  

Medical screening of non communicable diseases (NCD) like hypertension and diabetis was conducted by a team of doctors.

The event was supervised by Dr Iqbal Malik, BMO Kandi.

Ayushman Bharat- SEHAT Golden Cards were also issued by a team on the spot.   All medicines were available free of cost for the public including allopathic and AYUSH medicine.

Mohd Ayoub Lone, CHO Kandi, delivered a lecture on various health schemes of the govt such as ABHA digital Health ID, telemedicine facilities, SEHAT card etc.

Public was also given tips about proper hand washing techniques, maintaining hygiene and benefits of balanced diet.

Dr. Iqbal Malik, who is also District Mental Health Program Officer, provided Mental Health Counseling as well as screening services to the patients.

The Medical Board constituted for issuing medical certificates issued 125 old age certificates, 30 fitness certificates, 7 widow certificates and 2 illness certificates to the beneficiaries.

General public including PRIs expressed their thankfulness to health department for this great initiative.
