Inter-District Drug Kingpin Arrested by Udhampur Police in PS Chenani case

Chenani, March 3, 2025 In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Udhampur Police have arrested an inter-district drug kingpin namely, Ishaq Shah, son of Dilawar Shah, from Behibagh, Kulgam, Kashmir. He was wanted in Case FIR No. 163/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act for involvement in the commercial supply of heroin. Ishaq Shah has been evading arrest and was a key figure in the illegal drug trade across multiple districts. His capture is a big step in dismantling drug networks.Udhampur Police, under the leadership of senior officials, has been relentlessly pursuing drug traffickers to dismantle their networks and curb the rising threat of narcotic. The arrest of this inter-district drug peddler is expected to provide crucial leads in identifying other individuals involved in in the illegal trade.Further investigation is ongoing.
