75% Clear Class 12 Exams in J&K; Girls Lead with Higher Pass Rate

Jammu, April 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) announced the results for the Class 12 Annual Exams 2025 on Wednesday, reporting a 75% overall pass rate. Of the 1,03,308 students who appeared, 77,311 passed the examination.

Girls outperformed boys again this year, with an 80% pass rate compared to 69% for boys. A total of 30,622 students achieved distinction (75% and above), 36,131 earned first division (60% and above), while 30,034 were placed in the second division (48% and above). Only 74 students passed with a third division.

A total of 970 students failed, and 25,027 must reappear in one or more subjects. There were also 42 absentees, 30 exam cancellations, 24 cases of disputed eligibility, and 3 disqualifications.

Among the streams, Commerce had the highest pass rate at 79%, followed by Science at 75% and Arts at 66%. Subjects like Persian, Philosophy, Islamic Studies, and Punjabi saw nearly 100% pass rates. In vocational education, Health Care, Automotive, and Beauty & Wellness emerged as high-performing courses, with most students securing first-class marks.

JKBOSE extended congratulations to successful candidates and encouraged those needing to reappear to prepare well for the upcoming supplementary exams.
