Reasi | Date: 07 April 2026: Kameshwar Puri, JKPS, has formally assumed the charge as Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Katra.

Upon his arrival at the office of Addl. SP Katra,  Kameshwar Puri was accorded a warm welcome by officers and officials of the sub-division. A brief introductory meeting was held where he interacted with the staff and reviewed the functioning of key units under his jurisdiction.

Kameshwar Puri emphasized the importance of professional policing, public outreach, pilgrim safety and effective supervision of law & order arrangements in Katra—an area of vital significance due to the high pilgrim inflow to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
