New Hearing Care Center Opens in Jammu: Enhancing Accessibility

On October 16, 2026, Hearing Help Pvt Ltd. and WS Audiology (WSA) unveiled the BestSound Center (BSC) 3.0 in Jammu, aiming to improve access to personalized hearing care in the region. This initiative marks a significant step towards addressing the serious challenges of hearing loss in Indian communities.

WSA, a global leader in hearing solutions, partnered with the Suryoday Foundation to launch this center, which includes a generous donation of 150 hearing aids for 75 individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds in Jammu. This collaboration underscores the commitment to provide hearing support for all, regardless of economic status.

Located at 17-A/D, near District Police Lines, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, the center embodies WSA’s vision of a patient-centered approach to hearing care. With this launch, WSA strengthens its reach within India following successful openings in other cities, seeking to eliminate the stigma and barriers around hearing impairment.

According to the World Health Organization, India has about 63 million people living with significant auditory impairments. With projections indicating that the global population with disabling hearing loss could reach 700 million by 2050, the demand for accessible hearing solutions becomes increasingly urgent.

“We believe that everyone should have access to quality hearing care, regardless of their income or location,” stated Mr. Avinash Pawar, Managing Director and CEO of WSA India. “With the BestSound Center 3.0, we intend to provide Jammu & Kashmir residents with the same superior standard of care that we offer globally.”

The new center features a welcoming layout designed to enhance user experience, equipped with modern diagnostic tools and sound zones for real-life testing. Individuals can navigate through personalized hearing solutions, encouraged by trained professionals who offer support from initial assessments to fitting and follow-up care.

With two acclaimed hearing aid brands, Signia and Widex, available at the center, clients can select products based on their unique preferences and listening environments. This tailored approach addresses the diverse auditory needs of individuals, ensuring enhanced satisfaction and connectivity.

“Our goal is to revolutionize how hearing care is perceived in our community,” said Mr. John Zargar, Managing Director and CEO of Hearing Help Pvt Ltd. “Many residents in Jammu & Kashmir previously had to travel long distances or forego hearing assistance entirely. This center aims to transform those experiences.”

The Suryoday Foundation collaborated with WSA to assess and identify 75 beneficiaries from less privileged backgrounds, ensuring they received proper hearing aids and care. Following their fittings, each recipient will receive continuous support to maximize the performance of their devices.

Mr. Pawar emphasized the importance of accessibility, stating, “Hearing care must be available to every individual in need, not just a privileged few. Together with our partners, we have initiated our mission in Jammu by helping people truly reconnect with the world around them.”

WSA and Hearing Help aspire to raise awareness regarding hearing health across Jammu & Kashmir, encouraging residents to seek timely assessments and improvements in their auditory health. This initiative represents a step forward in addressing hearing loss and its ripple effects on daily life.
