Workshop on good governance week organised at Samba
Former DC(retd.) Mubarak Singh shares his experience on administrative responsiveness
SAMBA, DECEMBER 23: District administration Samba on Friday organised a workshop on good governance practices under Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur-2022 in the conference hall of DC office complex.
Former Deputy Commissioner (retd.) Samba, Mubarak Singh was invited as the chief guest.
The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta gave a presentation on good governance week, being celebrated from 19 to 25 December in the district.
Giving an overview of various good practices and initiatives under taken to promote governance at doorsteps, she referred to concepts of E-Governance, M-Governance and G-Governance.
The participants were informed about online services – JK Revenue, Jan Sangam, E-Office, Land records which are fully implemented in the district.
The DC informed that under Aspirational Block Programme a Mobile milk collection van has been launched which will help the people to sell the milk on the spot. The initiative was undertaken by department of Animal husbandry.
The CMO informed that the patients are being provided online services right from their registration to appointment with doctor and prescription of medicines.
The Chief Guest, Mubarak Singh, shared his vast experience of initiatives taken during his period in the administration in Samba district. He also shared the experiences of the administrative promptness and responsiveness towards the people during any mishap, whether natural calamity such as floods, burning of the houses, famine etc.
Mubarak Singh cited many examples of administrative responsiveness towards calamity such as a fire incident in village Sodam and the way administration, with the joint efforts of all departments such as police department, revenue department provided help to the fire victims such as shelter, food etc. He called upon all line departments to collectively work for betterment of society by working on SMART principles of governance.
He also appreciated E- Governance initiatives taken by the District Development Commissioner Samba.
BDC Chairman Rajpura, Radhey Sham, PRI members besides locals attended the workshop and hailed the for organizing such events for awareness of general public.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; ADC, Rakesh Dubey; CPO, Sukhleen Kour, besides other district officers.
