Woman Found Bound Inside Plastic Bag in Rajouri, Police Begin Investigation
Rajouri/Jammu, Jan 19: A shocking incident came to light in Jammu’s Rajouri district on Sunday night after a middle-aged woman was found tied with a rope and packed inside a plastic bag, prompting police to launch an investigation.
Police officials said the 45-year-old woman, identified as Azeem Akhtar, was discovered in a critical condition and was immediately rescued by locals. She was rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital for treatment, where her condition remains serious.
The plastic bag containing the woman was noticed by residents in a secluded area of Tandwal in Rajouri district, who alerted authorities.
Police said they are awaiting the victim’s recovery so that her statement can be recorded to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further investigation is underway to determine how and why the woman was subjected to such brutality.
