“Wedding Called Off”: Smriti Mandhana Ends Speculation on Marriage with Palaash Muchhal

Mumbai, December 8: India cricketer Smriti Mandhana on Sunday confirmed that her wedding with music composer Palaash Muchhal has been called off, ending weeks of speculation.
Mandhana issued a public statement on Instagram, saying she felt the need to address the rumours that began after the ceremony was abruptly postponed last month. She requested privacy for both families.
She stated that the wedding has been called off and urged everyone to respect their privacy and allow them space to move on. Mandhana added that her focus remains on representing India in cricket and continuing her career at the highest level.
Palaash Muchhal also shared a note on Instagram, saying he has decided to move on and step back from the relationship. He said it was difficult to see people react based on unverified rumours. He added that his team will take legal action against those spreading false or defamatory content.
The wedding was scheduled for November 23, 2025, but was postponed after Mandhana’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, fell ill on the day of the ceremony in Sangli. He was rushed to a hospital after showing symptoms of a heart-related issue.
