Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 event held at Doda

DODA, OCTOBER 28: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) organized an awareness event at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex Doda under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh was the Chief Guest. Among others present included SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta; SSP ACB (DKR), Abdul Qayoom; ADC Anil Kumar Thakur; ACD Din Mohammad Afaqi; Principal GMC Dr. Rakesh Bahl, representatives of PRIs, Urban Local Bodies, members of Civil Society and departmental experts.
The Deputy Commissioner led the Integrity Pledge with the participants reaffirming their commitment to transparent and accountable governance. He emphasized on judicious and transparent use of taxpayers funds for the welfare and progress of the society, urging officials to uphold the principles of honesty and fair play in public service.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC highlighted the importance of sincerity and ethical conduct in strengthening institutions and society at large.
Principal GMC, in his address, shared personal experiences and anecdotes from his school days, underscoring the lifelong value of honesty and integrity.
SSP Sandeep Kumar Mehta and SSP ACB Abdul Qayoom also addressed the gathering, stressing the need for shared responsibility to eliminate corruption and build a transparent administrative culture.
The event also featured a PowerPoint presentation by Dy. SP Imran Malik and a documentary film on vigilance awareness, which educated participants on the role of citizens and officials in maintaining integrity in governance.
