Absconding THAR Driver in the Road Rage at Gandhi Nagar Creating Anger & Concern in General Public Arrested by Police Station Gandhi Nagar

In a key breakthrough, Gandhi Nagar Police Station has arrested the driver involved in the Thar-Scooty collision that occurred on 27/07/2025 near Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar.

The incident, involving a Mahindra Thar (JK02DP-9594) and a scooty (JK02BS-6435), had resulted in serious injuries to the scooty rider. Accordingly, FIR No. 163/2025 was registered under Sections 281, 125(a), and later section 109 of BNS was invoked.

Under the supervision of SDPO South and SP South, Gandhi Nagar Police acted swiftly—seizing the vehicle, collecting CCTV footage, recording eyewitness statements, and launching a manhunt.

Today, the absconding driver has been arrested. He is being interrogated, and further legal proceedings are underway.
