Sopore Police Crack Theft Case in 24 Hours

Sopore: Sopore Police have solved a theft case within 24 hours of its registration and arrested the accused after a swift investigation on Wednesday. The case was filed at Police Station Sopore by Syed Salah Ud Din, Manager of Shadowfax Logistics at Ashpeer, who reported the theft of mobile phones from the facility. An FIR under relevant provisions was registered and investigation began immediately.
Police questioned several individuals linked to the premises. During the inquiry, a suspect identified as Afaq Ahmad Ahanger, son of Suna Ullah Ahanger of Amberpora Tarzoo Sopore, was called for questioning. He confessed to the theft.
Following his disclosure, police recovered stolen property worth nearly ₹50,000. Officers said further investigation is underway to determine whether more people were involved.
Police said they remain committed to swift action and protecting public property.
