Sopore Police Arrests 4 Absconders, Including 3 Wanted in 11-Year-Old Heinous Case

Srinagar, October 25: Continuing its intensified crackdown on long-time absconders and fugitives, Sopore Police on Saturday apprehended four individuals, including three accused in a heinous case pending since 2014.
A special team from Police Station Panzalla arrested Mohammad Sadiq Khan, son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan; Ajaz Ahmad Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah; and Mohsin Ali Shah, son of Mohammad Mozim Shah—all residents of Paranpilan, Uri. The trio had been wanted in FIR No. 10/2014 under Sections 363, 376, and 109 of the RPC and had been evading law enforcement for the past 11 years.
In a separate operation, Police Post Warpora Sopore arrested Shahzad Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone, a resident of Bunkoot, Bandipora. He was wanted in FIR No. 241/2019 under Sections 366, 376D, 344, and 109 RPC of Police Station Sopore and had been on the run since 2019.
Following their arrests, all accused have been produced before the competent courts in Baramulla and Sopore after completion of legal formalities.
Sopore Police stated that its drive against absconders and proclaimed offenders continues with renewed vigor, ensuring that no one evading the law will escape justice. The force reaffirmed its commitment to tracing every absconder and bringing them before the courts to uphold the rule of law and deliver justice to victims.
