#Skill up-gradation training of SHGs launched at ITI Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, MAY 19: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal today formally inaugurated the skill up-gradation Training of SHGs launched by UMEED, JKRLM in collaboration with Skill Development Department and Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Kishtwar, here at ITI Kishtwar.
Principal ITI Kishtwar, Mandeep Dogra, District Nodal officer JKRLM, Javeed Ahmed, Block Programme Managers (UMEED),
Administrative Assistants, Resource Persons, besides staff members of ITI and Self Help Group members were present in the event.
As many as 45 SHG members drawn from Kishtwar and Nagseni Blocks are being imparted training in Sewing Technology (31 Members) and fashion designing and technology (14 members) in the first phase.
The training is structured for over 12 hours duration spread over 12 days (professional skills) and an exposure visit.
After the completion of first phase, 32 more SHG members from erstwhile block Paddar and Dachhan will be provided training in second phase in sewing and fashion and design courses.
Pertinent to mention here that UMEED, JKRLM is providing phase wise skill upgradation Training to its SHG Members with the support of Skill Development Department in collaboration with the Industrial Training Institutes of the District.
