Secretary H&ME visits Boniyar, inaugurates awareness programme on ‘Benefits of Golden Card’
Asks officers to attain 100% saturation under AB-PMJAY scheme
BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 21: Secretary Health and Medical Education (H&ME), Bhupinder Kumar, today inaugurated one day awareness programme on ‘Benefits of Golden Card’ at tehsil complex, Boniyar.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar and other functionaries of health department were present on the occasion.
The objective of organizing the camp was to raise awareness among the participants regarding the benefits of Golden Card, an e-card that needs to be shown at the empanelled hospitals to avail cashless treatment under AB PMJAY.
Secretary, while elaborately explaining the broad contours of the scheme, exhorted upon the people to optimally utilize this golden card which enables you get cashless treatment and hospitalization in empanelled public and private hospitals.
He asked the officers to ensure cent percent saturation of Golden Cards under AB-PMJAY so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of this vital facility being extended by the government.
Secretary exhorted upon the general public to avail the benefits of Golden Cards and other health related schemes. He asserted that the administration is committed to provide every basic health facility to the people at their door steps.
He highlighted the need for making people aware about this facility and urged students to act as ambassadors in this endeavour.
Bhupinder Kumar directed all the officers and other concerned to work with added zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets under different schemes of the health department.
Deputy Commissioner said that the purpose of the camp was to speed up registration process under the said scheme besides mobilizing the left out population of the district so that they are entitled to the benefits of the Golden Card.
