Search operation underway in J-K’s Udhampur

Jammu, Oct 16: Security forces launched a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Thursday following reports of suspicious movement in the area, officials said.

The operation began after locals informed authorities about some suspected persons entering a house in Kirchi village of the Latti-Dudu area and fleeing with cash.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and are conducting searches to trace the suspects. Officials said the forces are on high alert and have urged residents to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Terrorist movement has been reported in the Dudu-Basantgarh area over the past several months, prompting intensified vigilance by the security forces.
