SAMBA POLICE FOILS BOVINE SMUGGLING BID; SEIZES VEHICLE Samba, March 12, 2025: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt, rescued three bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba. The vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines was also seized.An information was received at Police Station Samba from reliable sources regarding smuggling of bovines in a Bolero Maxx Pik-up bearing registration No. JK02DK-3980 coming from Kathua side, a Police team headed by SHO Police Station Samba successfully intercepted the said vehicle near Nanke Chak Samba for its checking. During checking, three bovines found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer place. A case FIR No. 64/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
