Rotary Surgery Camp performs 1373  surgeries in 3 districts till date

SRINAGAR, MAY 15:  To achieve the target of over three thousand surgeries in the Mega Health Camp (MHC),  the multi-specialist team of doctors of  Rotary Club of India has till date conducted 1373 surgeries in three districts of Kashmir.

The 43 member team of internationally reputed multi specialist surgeons and local doctors are heading towards the goal of achieving over 3000 major surgeries by May 18 in Rotary health camp in Baramulla, Ganderbal and Kupwara.

The renowned international surgeons from across the country are conducting  surgeries of different fields  including general, gynecological, ENT, Urology, ophthalmic, orthopedic surgeries and dental procedures.

Out of 1373 Surgeries,  432 surgeries were performed at GMC Baramulla, 392 SDH Sopore, 270 District Hospital, Ganderbal and 279 at District Hospital Kupwara.

During the Kashmir Mega medical project of Rotary Club of India, thousands of the people visited the surgery camps to avail the benefits while most of the patients operated in the camp have been discharged from hospitals.

The administration has been continuously providing the support for smooth conduct of the health camp and constantly monitoring the facilities provided to patients, attendants and doctors besides ensuring transport facility, food and accommodation to patients who have registered to avail health benefits.
