Relative of J&K LG Manoj Sinha Dies by Suicide in Kanpur

Kanpur, Oct 29: A relative of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was found dead at his residence in Kanpur in what police suspect to be a case of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as Aarav Mishra, son of Alok Mishra, who is a distant relative of the Lieutenant Governor, according to media reports.

A note was reportedly recovered from Aarav’s pocket, mentioning that his family should check the messages he had written before his death. The note and messages are expected to be examined during the investigation.

Police said an inquiry is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The family has not yet issued any public statement.

Manoj Sinha, a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, has been serving as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir since August 2020.
