Rajnath Singh To Update PM Modi on Jammu and Kashmir Security Situation

NEW DELHI, April 28: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to brief Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday regarding the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
The meeting comes as India considers its response to the April 22 attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.
Pointing to “cross-border linkages” behind the assault, India has vowed to deliver a strong and decisive punishment to those responsible, a stance that has drawn support both domestically and internationally.
There has been no official confirmation yet about Singh’s meeting with the Prime Minister.
During his ‘Mann ki Baat’ address on Sunday, Modi assured the nation that the “perpetrators and conspirators” of the Pahalgam attack would face the “harshest response.”
“The entire world stands with the 140 crore Indians in our fight against terrorism,” Modi said, promising justice for the victims and their families.
