Over 100 Film Crew Members Hospitalised for Food Poisoning in Leh

Leh, Aug 18 — More than 100 crew members of a film unit were admitted to hospital in Leh after suffering food poisoning, officials said on Monday. Their condition is reported to be stable.

The workers, all non-locals, were shooting for a Bollywood film when they developed severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and headaches late Sunday. They were rushed to SNM Hospital, where emergency staff were reinforced to handle the sudden influx. Police were also called in to manage the situation.

Around 600 people had reportedly consumed the same meal, and food samples have been sent for testing. Doctors confirmed it was a case of food poisoning, adding that most patients have now been discharged after treatment.
