One Day Awareness programme on #Menstrual Hygiene Seminar held at GHSS, Kothi Bagh
SRINAGAR, MAY 23: One Day Awareness programme as part of 2nd Menstrual Hygiene Seminar was conducted by JK Womens Welfare Foundation supported by Indian Army at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kothi Bagh, here.
Approx 130 Girls Student attended the Awareness programme which focussed primarily on Awareness and need to break the taboo/ Stigma associated with the Menstrual Hygiene in society and specially in Girls/ Women.
The NGO raised the awareness and talked about challenges in our society associated with the Menstrual Hygiene Education in Colleges/ Schools and emphasised upon the essential period-friendly initiatives and sanitisation facilities required in the schools and colleges.
Nusrat Bukhari Principal, GGHSS Kothibagh, Raja Anjum, Dy CEO and Hina Amin, Nodal Officer and Chief Coordinator were present during the seminar.
