The suspect, who was moving towards Sidhra, attempted to flee upon spotting the police but was swiftly caught by the alert team.The accused has been identified as *Mohd Ashraf Khatana, son of Haji Shokat Khatana, resident of Asrarabad, Sidhra.* Upon conducting a search, police recovered *08.37 grams of heroin (Chitta)* from his possession.Following the seizure, a case under the *NDPS Act* has been registered at *Police Station Nagrota,* and further investigations are underway to uncover potential links to a larger drug network.Jammu Police have reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement authorities.
