Major Crackdown Against OGW Network in Kashmir as Police Raid Several Places, Over 150 Detained

Srinagar, Dec 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other security agencies, on Friday launched a massive crackdown against Over Ground Workers (OGWs) linked to terrorist outfits across the Kashmir Valley, detaining over 150 suspects, sources said.

A top official said that more than 150 suspected individuals have been detained so far in Srinagar, while the operation is still underway in several other parts of the Valley. He added that the crackdown aims to dismantle the terror support network operating on the ground.

According to officials, the action is primarily focused on breaking the OGW network associated with the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad, along with other terrorist organisations active in the region.

Raids are being carried out at multiple locations across different districts of the Kashmir Valley as part of this large-scale operation. Security agencies are conducting searches, questioning suspects and gathering intelligence to trace terror logistics, funding and support systems.

The crackdown follows strong remarks by Manoj Sinha, who earlier in the day reiterated the government’s resolve to completely dismantle the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. He warned that sympathisers, facilitators and supporters of terrorism would face the strictest action under the law.

Officials said the operation will continue in the coming days to ensure that terrorist networks and their local support structures are uprooted from the Valley.
