LG Administration Dismisses Two Teachers for Anti-National Activities

Srinagar, Oct 30: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has terminated the services of two government teachers for alleged involvement in activities considered harmful to India’s sovereignty and integrity.
According to official sources, the dismissed employees have been identified as Ghulam Hussain and Majid Iqbal Dar, both serving in the Education Department.
The terminations were made under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution of India, which empowers the government to dismiss employees without a formal inquiry in the interest of the security of the state.
Authorities said the two were found to have links with terror organizations and were allegedly involved in promoting anti-national activities.
The move is part of the administration’s ongoing crackdown on employees suspected of aiding or supporting terrorism in the Union Territory.
Since 2021, several government employees across departments have been dismissed under the same provision as part of the government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and separatism.
