Legal Services Awareness Camp held at Shopian
Land passbooks distributed among the Landholders
SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 06: A one-day Legal Services Awareness Camp was today organized by the District Administration Shopian in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority Shopian at Mini Secretariat, here.
Feroz Ahmad Khan Secretary/ Sub Judge DLSA Shopian alongwith Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmad Boda inaugurated the CampAmong others the camp was attended by various district/sectoral officers and officials and people.
Earlier, they inspected the stalls which were established by the line departments.
The purpose of the camp was to sensitize the public on free legal aid available for the marginalized sections of the society. The public also got the opportunity to interact with several government departments including Banks and get oriented with the various welfare programs/schemes of the government.
They distributed land passbook among the landholders.
The camp was organised under two-week pan-India campaign which started from October 31 to November 13, is to work at there grass roots level and build capacity for the incapacitated.
Secretary DLSA while briefing, said that the Legal Services Authority with an objective to reach out to the poor and needy people is conducting such kind of camps so that the targeted section of the society can avail the various welfare measures and beneficial schemes and policies of the government.
Through this camp, the public were sensitized about their rights and entitlements so that they can avail maximum benefit out of the government schemes.
