Jan Abhiyaan: KVK–Gurez organizes Awareness camp on Natural Farming
BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 23: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Gurez today organized awareness camp on Natural Farming under Jan Abhiyaan at Izmarg Station of SKUAST-Kashmir.
More than 100 tribal farmers, farm women and rural youth from the villages like Kanzalwan, Nayal, Izmarg, Jalindora, Chuntiwari, Banjran and Dangan of block Bagtour participated in the event.
The participants were sensitised about the significance of Natural farming in contemporary time.
On the occasion, the BDC Chairman of the Block Bagtore stressed for mass awareness of the theme Natural Farming.
The incharge head of KVK Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat deliberated upon the importance of Natural farming on human health and provided full details about the Natural Farming practices. He shared various dimensions of Natural farming and its significance in present day Agriculture under the hill and mountain Agriculture and explained in detail about the principles involved in Natural Farming.
Earlier, Dr Wasim Ali scientist of the station highlighted the importance of natural farming and stressed upon the need for its adoption for the larger benefit of the farming community.
Dr Mudasir Magray, Scientist Vegetable Sciences shared his experience about the success of Natural Farming under hill and mountain Agro-ecological systems and its scope in the valley of Gurez.
