*Jammu Police Recovered Stolen Scooty and Motorcycle; One Accused Arrested in Akhnoor Area.*Jammu, April 6, 2025Continuing its crackdown on vehicle thefts,Jammu Police have achieved a significant breakthrough with the recovery of a stolen scooty and a motorcycle in the Akhnoor area. The operation, led by *Inspector Rohit Gandhi of Police Station Akhnoor,* also resulted in the arrest of one accused involved in the case.The case began when *Mr. Rahul Kumar, son of Sh. Randev Kumar and a resident of Pull Chandian, Tehsil Akhnoor,* lodged a complaint regarding the theft of his scooty. Acting swiftly on the report, *an FIR (No. 59/2025) was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Akhnoor.*During the investigation, police detained a suspect identified as *Sabba Masih,son of Nayamat Singh originally hailing from Tarn Taran, Amritsar (Punjab), and currently residing at Nai Basti, Pargwal, Akhnoor.* Upon sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime.Following his disclosure, the *stolen scooty* was recovered and seized. Moreover, a *motorcycle* bearing registration number JK02CJ5403 was also recovered in a separate seizure under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
