#International Museum Week celebration extended for 3 more days   

JAMMU, MAY 19: In view of overwhelming response shown by the public towards the special exhibition on Folk Art in Dogra Art Museum to mark International Museum Day, the Department has decided to extend the “International Museum Week” celebrations till May 22, 2022.

The International Council of Museums (ICOM) celebrates International Museum Day every year on May 18. The objective of celebration of International Museum Day is to raise public awareness of the fact that   museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among people.

 The Department of Archives, Archaeology and Museums has organized a special exhibition on Folk Art in Dogra Art Museum, Jammu.
