IndiGo Flight Disruptions Continue at Srinagar Airport

Srinagar, Dec 06: Flight disruptions by IndiGo continued for the second consecutive day at Srinagar International Airport, with a total of 16 flight movements cancelled by 8 AM on Saturday, officials said.

An airport official told that the airport had 64 scheduled movements for the day, including 32 arrivals and 32 departures. Of these, IndiGo accounted for 36 movements, with 18 arrivals and 18 departures.

However, the airline cancelled 14 flights, including 7 arrivals and 7 departures. Two more flights, one arrival and one departure operated by other airlines, were also cancelled, taking the total number of cancellations to 16.

No delays were reported in the early-morning operations.

Airport authorities said the remaining flights were operating as per schedule but advised passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. “We urge passengers to confirm their flight timing and reach well in advance to avoid inconvenience,” an official said.

The cancellations come a day after major disruptions on Thursday, when 41 flights were cancelled across Jammu and Kashmir, including 39 operated by IndiGo, due to the airline’s internal compliance measures and crew shortages following new DGCA safety directives.
