IGP Jammu Zone Visits Jhiri to Review Security Arrangements for Forthcoming Jhiri Mela.

In view of the forthcoming Jhiri Mela, Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, accompanied by Deputy Inspector General JSK Range, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, and Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Jammu, Sh. Amit Bhasin, JKPS, visited Jhiri to review the security and other arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of the Mela.

During the visit, a detailed meeting was held with officers associated with the Mela, including SDM Marh,Palvi Mishra-IAS,SP Rural, Brijesh Sharma-JKPS,SDPO Domana, Tehsildar Marh, representatives from the Army and BSF, and the Pujari of Baba Jitto Temple.

SDM Marh briefed the IGP Jammu regarding the arrangements from the civil administration side, while SP Rural Jammu apprised the IGP about the comprehensive security measures and deployment plan made to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the event.

The IGP Jammu also took a round of the Mela site and issued necessary directions to the officers and ground staff, emphasizing close coordination among all stakeholders, given the large public turnout expected and the proximity of the international border to the Mela venue.
