KUPWARA, DECEMBER 24: The week-long celebration of Good Governance Week 2025 under the banner ‘Sushasan Saptah–Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ concluded successfully today with organizing of mega grievance redressal events at all Tehsil Headquarters across District Kupwara.
To mark the culmination of the campaign, the District Administration Kupwara organized special grievance redressal camps in every tehsil, where senior officers from administration interacted directly with the public and addressed their issues. People from far-flung and remote areas participated actively, highlighting their day-to-day developmental and civic concerns for timely redressal.
At Handwara, the grievance redressal camp was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, at the Administrative Complex Meeting Hall.
A large number of residents from various villages of Handwara Sub-Division attended the programme. Officers and representatives from key line departments were present to ensure on-the-spot interaction and resolution of grievances.
During the interaction, the public raised issues related to road connectivity, irrigation schemes, ration distribution, drinking water supply, power supply, healthcare facilities, education, door-to-door garbage collection, and other civic amenities.
The concerned officers and Heads of Departments responded to the grievances pertaining to their respective departments and provided immediate clarifications.
Addressing the gathering, the ADC emphasized the importance of the Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore initiative in taking governance to the grassroots level. Several local issues were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to concerned officers for the timely redressal of remaining grievances.
