Good Governance Week 2025: DC Doda reviews field activities, pitches for quality redressal of public grievances

DODA, DECEMBER 23: Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Conference Hall DC Office Complex to assess the impact of field activities being conducted as part of the ongoing Good Governance Week.
The meeting also reviewed the performance of departments in reaching out to citizens for effective grievance redressal. The DC emphasized the need to maximize disposal of grievances on a daily basis, particularly through the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) portal, recalling that over three lakh grievances were disposed of nationwide during last year’s Good Governance Week. He urged the officers to utilize the remaining days of GGW 2025 effectively to reduce pendency and ensure timely relief to the public.
The Deputy Commissioner directed each department to deploy a responsible officer to actively participate in GGW activities. He also instructed departments to meticulously update the activity Google Sheet, ensure doorstep resolution of issues wherever feasible and upload at least one geo-tagged photograph (with GPS location) for documentation and monitoring. Appreciating the commendable performance of departments such as Metrology, Food Safety and others, the DC conducted a detailed jurisdiction-wise review of the district officers and issued directions to further strengthen coordination and public interface.
Seeking focus on generating public awareness, the DC asked the stakeholder departments to promote key government-sponsored social and financial security schemes, including Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM-SYM, Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, underlining their role in ensuring financial stability and social security. He directed all departments to ensure registration of all eligible employees, including temporary government employees under the Suraksha Bima Yojana and to achieve saturation of eligible beneficiaries under the PM-SYM scheme.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Doda, DPO Doda, ACR Doda, CPO Doda, ACD Doda, Joint Director Education and other district officers and officials of various government departments.
