GDC Kathua organizes donation activity under Sewa Parv embracing Vision of Viksit Bharat

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 18: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, the NCC and NSS Units of Government Degree College Kathua organized a two-day donation activity, reflecting the spirit of service and commitment towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
The activity, conducted on the college premises on September 17, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff. The funds collected during the drive were dedicated to extend support to an Orphanage and Old Age Home in Kathua on September 18, thereby promoting compassion, care, and social responsibility among youth.
Meanwhile, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Mahanpur organized a Voluntary Donation-cum-Distribution Drive. The drive was aimed at implementing the Gandhian principle of Sarvodaya—upliftment of the needy and underprivileged sections of society.
During the drive, NSS volunteers collected clothes, bed sheets, hygiene kits, books, food items and medicines contributed by the staff and students of the college. The relief material was distributed among flood victims, old age persons, and underprivileged students of the college, spreading a message of compassion and social responsibility.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Sudan along with NSS volunteers, personally handed over the relief material to the beneficiaries and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and staff.
