#GDC Bandipora organises Annual Road Race
Infrastructure to be augmented to promote sports and games in the campus: Principal M A Malik
BANDIPORA, MAY 18: With a purpose to inspire youth towards sports and games for a healthy life style, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of HKM Degree College Bandipora today organised an Annual College Road Race for boys from Aloosa Chowk to Patushai stop.
A total of 60-students participated in the road race. The race was flagged off by the Principal of the College Dr Mohammad Amin Malik at Aloosa chowk at 6.00 am which culminated at Patushai stop at a distance of 7kms.
Javid Ahmad Bhat BA 2nd semester student took the lead by sprinting ahead of the rest of the competitors and finished Ist position with a comfortable lead. Zubair Shafi Khan, BA 2nd semester student finished at 2nd position and Javid Ahmad Reshi BA 2nd semester on 3rd position. Students Mushtaq Ahmad, Showkat Ahmad, Majeed Ahmad Parrey, Ahsan Sultan, Khlaid Ahmad Reshi, Aazim Nazir Mir, Khalid and Zameer Ahmad finished 4th to 10th position respectively.
