Drone Drops Box Carrying Grenades, IED And Pistol In J&K’s Akhnoor
Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the Indian Army recovered a mega terror consignment pushed from across the border in the Akhnoor area of Jammu. Pistols, grenades and IEDs have been recovered from the consignment that was dropped using a drone.
Jammu Police in its statement said, “In a joint search operation launched by Jammu Police and Army in the general area of Palanwallah near LoC in the early morning, a suspicious box was recovered and upon opening the box 01 IED fitted with batteries, 01 Pistol, 02 Magazines of pistol, 38 rounds of pistol ammunition and 09 Grenades were recovered upon which the police station Khour registered an FIR under relevant sections and investigation took up.”
Senior officials in Jammu and Kashmir Police have confirmed that a team led by SDPO Mohan Sharma is at the spot along with Indian Army officials, from where recovery has been made and are analysing the recovery made from the drone dropped consignment.
