Deputy Commissioner convenes Public Outreach camp at R.S. Pura

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Rakesh Minhas today conducted a tour of R.S. Pura subdivision to take stock of developmental activities, assess rain induced damage to public assets besides listening to the people’s issues.
The DC assessed the damages caused by recent floods at Chak Hansu village and listened to the grievances of the locals. Responding to the issues raised by the people, he directed the stakeholder departments to take measures for immediate redressal of the same. Relief material was also distributed among the affected families.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner and his team visited Melowal and reviewed damages to the local Gurdwara. He also inspected the heritage Railway Line site and issued directions for its proper upkeep and preservation.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a revenue review meeting at the SDM Office, R.S. Pura. The meeting focused on the revenue matters and stressed on the officers to adopt a people centric approach. The revenue officials were instructed strictly that any report of corruption or delay in providing services to people will be viewed seriously,
ADC Ansuya Jamwal; SDM RS Pura Anu Thakur; Assistant Commissioner Anmol Thakur were also present during the tour and the meeting.
