DDC #Kupwara visits Handwara; inspects ongoing works
Asks Engineers to speed up the construction work
KUPWARA, MAY 23: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today had an extensive tour of Handwara Sub Division to take stock of the developmental profile of the area.
During the visit, the DDC inspected on-going works at Degree College Handwara, District Hospital, Indoor stadium, Court Complex and took stock of the pace of development there. He directed concerned Officers and Engineers to speed up the developmental process and follow the timelines in letter and spirit.
At Degree College Handwara, the DDC inspected various blocks including administrative block, Admission block, Library, volleyball court, multipurpose block and other on-going works which are at different level of completion.
The DDC directed the concerned engineers to accelerate the pace of development and ensure the quality of the work. He also interacted with the principal of the college and asked him to monitor the on-going works.
The DDC also visited Pohrupeth and Bangam in Handwara sub division and inspected the State/ Kahcharie land at these sites. The land is being used for proposed projects for the welfare of the people of the Kupwara district.
At Bangam the PRIs and the public met the DDC and projected the demand for construction of a playground in the area. The DDC asked ADC Handwara to locate the State land so that it could be used for the purpose of a playground.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara Nazir Ahmad Mir and other concerned officers.
