DDC Kathua reviews physical, financial progress under Capex Budget
KATHUA, MARCH 03: District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma today reviewed the physical and financial progress of works being executed under District Capex Budget (DCB) 2025-26, UT Capex (ST Plan)/DAJGUA and other allied schemes at a meeting held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The meeting took a detailed sector-wise review of ongoing works. The officers from PWD, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, JPDCL, RDD and JKEDA informed about the status of Roads, Water schemes, power projects PRI Works and Aspirational Panchayat Works. The DDC assessed the pace of execution, fund utilization and adherence to timelines.
He directed the departments for prompt submission of bills in respect of completed works to facilitate smooth financial progress and optimal utilization of allocated funds.
Emphasizing accountability and transparency, the DDC instructed officers to strictly ensure developmental works meet quality standards.
The officers apprised that some projects were delayed due to land-related issues. While the majority of such issues have been resolved, a few cases are still pending, the meeting was told. The DDC directed the departments concerned to coordinate closely with the Revenue authorities to resolve pending land matters at the earliest to avoid further delays.
Chief Planning Officer Ranjeet Thakur, ACD Akhil Sadotra, Chief Education Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD and other departments were present in the meeting, while some XENs and BDOs joined through virtual mode.
