DDC Chairperson, DC conducts public interaction programme at GHSS Panchari

UDHAMPUR, JULY 06: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna attended Block Diwas programme held at Higher Secondary School Panchari today.
DDC Chairperson, Udhampur, Lal Chand; DDC Councillor, Panchari, Jasvir Singh; BDC Chairman, Jeevan Sharma were also present at the occasion.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Anu Behl; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral; Assistant Commissioner Development, Dharam Paul, among other district officers and PRIs including public of adjoining panchayats also participated in the public outreach programme.
Among a number of others, the locals and PRIs demanded blacktopping of Kainth Panchari road and maintenance of other dilapidated main and internal link roads. Crop-damage due to heavy rains, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, encouraging tourism at Panchari, opening of tourist huts, widening of internal Panchari Road, inclusion of left out beneficiaries under BPL category, opening of ration depot at Badhota, pending payments under Saubhagya Scheme, repairing of tourism building at Sankri Devta, improvement of mobile communication network, filling of vacant posts in schools among numerous other issues were also highlighted during proceedings of the day.
The DDC Chairperson, along with the Deputy Commissioner, thanked the PRI members and the public for their participation. The DC also assured that all the demands would be looked into and addressed on merit.
They urged the public to come forward and to avail the maximum benefits of various schemes and asked the officers to educate the people about income generation and other beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Government of India and the UT government.
The DC later inspected various ongoing developmental works at Sankri Devta Panchari temple and ordered immediate repair of tourist huts and completion of other works at the earliest.
