DODA, SEPTEMBER 21: District Development Council Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal today inaugurated work on the Marsoo Water Supply Scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

The Chairman was accompanied by Vice Chairperson DDC Sangeeta Rani Bhagat; Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan; SSP Abdul Qayoom; SE Hydraulics, ExEn Jal Shakti Department, local PRIs and general public of the area.

It was informed that the Water supply scheme Marsoo would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 2.85 crore and it will cater to the water requirement of Kithyara, Thal and Jathi area. The source of the WSS is Bray Nalla and Daligoth Nalla. The water supply scheme has different components civil (Inlet tank, sedimentation tanks, service reservoirs, filtration plants) and laying and fitting of the pipes for gravity main and distribution system which shall provide 55 FHTC’s. The WSS is expected to be completed within the current financial year 2022-23 and on its commissioning the public under the scope  would get adequate and quality drinking water supply.
