DC Reasi reviews Action Plan for transportation of food grains at FCS & CA Committee meet
REASI, JUNE 02: Deputy Commissioner, Babila Rakwal today reviewed the Action Plan for transportation of food grains, including the tendering process here at a meeting of District Level Committee of Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
The Committee discussed different criteria and eligibility to be adopted in tender documentation, including factors like financial turnover, prior experience and registration authority among others. The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that every participating bidder must possess all eligibility and criteria to make the process transparent and competitive. She also said that exemptions in EMD would be provided to Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as per MSME guidelines and not in other conditions such as prior experience and financial turnover as the matter pertains to food security and health of the general public.
Necessary directions were given to the Assistant Director FCS&CA for floating of the tenders at the earliest to comply with the directions of the Government of India and UT administration.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Reasi, Superintendent Engineer, PWD Reasi/Udhampur, Superintendent Engineer PWD (R&B), Reasi/Udhampur, District Treasury Officer, Accounts Officer DC Office Reasi and ARTO Reasi.
