DC Ramban inspects langars, lodging centres at Nashri, Chanderkote

RAMBAN, JULY 07: Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam inspected langars and lodging centres established for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, here along the National Highway  at Nashri and Chanderkote today.

The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of all basic services as per SOPs for the pilgrims in their lodging centres and the langar sites. He told the langar managers to ensure smooth rendering of services besides maintaining hygiene and sanitation.

The DC asked the officers to put in place an effective response mechanism with active emergency control numbers. Later, the DC also took feedback from pilgrims staying at Yatri Niwas Chanderkote about facilities and services being delivered to them.

The ACP apprised the DC about the arrangements made by various departments for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Camp Director, Yatri Niwas Chanderkote, Swarn Singh; District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta; CDPO, Ravinder Kour and other concerned officers from civil and Police Department also accompanied the DC while reviewing the arrangements for sanitation, water, electricity, and fire safety and health facilities for the Yatris.
